Published 12:50 p.m. CT April 2, 2018 Updated 4:15 p.m. CT April 2, 2018Richard D. “Ricky” Houser, 47(Photo: Courtesy/Special to Poweshiek County CR)Richard D. “Ricky” Houser, 47, of Iowa City, died suddenly, March 30, 2018.A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Rick’s life will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, April 5th at the Gay & Ciha Funeral Service in Iowa City.  Online condolences can be shared with his family at www.gayandciha.com.Rick was born March 30, 1971; son of Richard and Carol (Kolsto) Houser.  He graduated from BGM High School in Brooklyn and worked for many years in Iowa City at Loparex.His family includes his sisters, Renae Polton of Brooklyn, Rone Cahow of Malcom, and Rhoda Craig (Tony) of Arizona; uncle, Larry Kolsto of Cedar Rapids and many nieces and nephews.  Rick was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brenda; Brenda’s daughter, Crystal; sister, Robin Weiland and brother-in-law, Darrell Polton.There will also be a gathering at The Pour House in Malcom for family & friends to get together in Rick’s memory.  This will be Friday, April 6th from 5-8 pm.Read or Share this story: https://dmreg.co/2InNLIl...
